In-person and remote therapy, affirming of all identities.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I seek to create a safe place where people can be heard, heal, and make sustainable changes. I have 19 years experience providing family and individual therapy to children, teens, and adults in Durham. My style of therapy is informed by CBT, DBT, polyvagal theory and attachment theory with the option to focus our work using EMDR and IFS. If these terms are unfamiliar we will explore them. I also provide clinical supervision to LCSW Associates. In addition to general anxiety, depression and life stressors my specialities include: single event and chronic trauma; navigating difficult family dynamics; parenting support; adoption-related issues; time management & habit change; gender identity; and support for those who love someone with mental health challenges, substance use, or complicated aging.
