I merge my experience as a paramedic with my training as a therapist to provide care that is trauma informed, supportive, educational and down to earth.

Prior to becoming a therapist I worked in emergency medicine for 16 years, 14 as a Paramedic and 2 in the ER. After seeing first hand the struggles of individuals in crisis and the devastating impact of trauma on both mind and body, I returned to school and completed my master's in clinical mental health counseling. Because of my background, I believe weaving in education on how mental health impacts general health and vice versa is important. Working with trauma is my primary focus but I also have experience working with general mental health issues, families, couples, domestic violence, substance abuse and chronic illness. As someone who understands the system and culture, I enjoy working with individuals from emergency systems, military or medical systems and helping them navigate their experiences and struggles. I feel having someone who has been there and gets it really helps the process I believe that you are your own best expert and my job is to walk with you through the process of sorting and making connections. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual and not a cookie-cutter approach. We should be given the tools to understand our bodies and systems fully. I feel strongly that therapy should be a collaborative and comfortable process
