Marjanka Spies

Marjanka Spies, LMHC, LPC, is a dedicated counselor with over 30 years of experience helping teens, adults, and seniors throughout Georgia navigate life’s most challenging emotional transitions. Her clinical work focuses on providing personalized, evidence-based care through individual, group, and couples therapy, as well as psychological testing. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and substance use issues, helping partners and individuals rebuild trust and improve emotional regulation to create more fulfilling lives. With a clinical approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Marky equips her clients with practical tools to manage distress and improve coping skills. She is deeply committed to supporting those experiencing grief and loss, depression, and the emotional impact of medical conditions, including chronic pain and reproductive challenges. Her practice is also an affirming space for members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with backgrounds in military service, first responder roles, or adoption and foster care. A bilingual provider, she offers therapeutic services in both Dutch and English to ensure accessible care for diverse populations across the state. Outside of her professional practice, Marky finds personal enrichment in traveling, reading, attending live music events, and exploring the arts.
