Margarita (Margie) Munoz-Evers
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I offer trauma-informed, culturally affirming counseling for teens and adults navigating life circumstances and exploration of identities.
I hope to support you and your emotional wellness. I work with pre-teens and adolescents (ages 12 and above), young adults, and adults. I approach therapy through a holistic lens, using compassion and warm curiosity to support your exploration of all aspects of who you are, how you feel, and what matters to you. Using psychodynamic techniques, I believe in co-creating unique experiences and relationships, meaning that the structure of sessions is framed by what feels personally relevant to each individual I work with. I have years of experience helping clients work through the impact of social pressure in adolescence, childhood trauma, relationship violence, and loss. I will meet you are at, and I will respect your direction and autonomy when processing difficult experiences and emotions. When working with adolescents, I also offer support in navigating parent-child relationships. I use trauma-informed approaches, including Sensorimotor techniques, Internal Family Systems (“parts” work), and yoga as tools to support folks’ connection to themselves. I am also trained in EMDR, and I am able to include this in therapy based on client readiness. Ofrezco terapia en español.
