Margaret (Peg) McCarthy
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I see adolescents and adults in individual psychotherapy, administer psychological testing, and facilitate a group for gender-questioning young people.
I believe humans have an inborn drive to understand themselves and their experiences. Through a trusting, respectful relationship, I collaborate with clients to accomplish their therapeutic goals and to help them move forward in their lives. I draw upon a range of approaches, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal techniques, to build upon clients' strengths, to develop new ways of thinking, to construct solutions, and to remove barriers to progress.
