I'm Maggie Anderson and I've been a therapist in the Triangle for over 13 years. I understand that each person's journey is unique, and am committed to helping clients through life's challenges with empathy and expertise. I am skilled in building rapport, navigating community resources and the ability to build on people’s strengths and cultivate hope. I am a proponent of integrative care that prioritizes whole-person care. I utilize a strengths-based perspective with clients and incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, depending on each client’s individual needs. I am an advocate of the “stages of change” model and “harm reduction,” which allows each person to define their own recovery. I also believe in the importance of teamwork and building a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, where all individuals feel comfortable sharing their unique stories and challenges. I am a native of Raleigh, and am deeply committed to my community. Outside of work, you will usually find me spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, reading, cooking or enjoying the outdoors.
