Marcia Vincent, M.A., NCC, LPC, CAS, is a licensed therapist who has been dedicated to the mental health field since 2017. A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, she is also a certified addictions specialist. Marcia provides a therapeutic environment rooted in trust, integrity, and compassion, placing the highest priority on confidentiality and emotional safety. She operates from a person-centered philosophy, viewing her clients as the true experts in their own lives and supporting them as they work toward their full potential. Marcia works with a diverse range of adults and seniors, including those aged 18 to 65 and older. She has specialized training and personal experience supporting the LGBTQPIA+ community and spent over a decade as a Medicolegal Death Investigator in Colorado prior to her graduate studies. This background informs her work with first responders and her understanding of how PTSD can profoundly impact an individual's identity. Her clinical focus includes supporting those facing trauma, substance misuse, gender and identity struggles, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. She also assists individuals navigating significant life transitions, such as health changes, divorce, career shifts, and grief. In her practice, Marcia utilizes evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Therapy. She often incorporates the exploration of personal values, metaphors, and creative arts to guide the healing process. Marcia is committed to lifelong learning and emphasizes the importance of intersectionality, recognizing how a person’s culture, heritage, and beliefs shape their unique identity. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time in nature, connecting with her family, friends, dogs, and horse, and finds balance through gardening, crafts, and humor.
