Compassionate support for eating disorders, trauma, and the journey back to feeling grounded and whole.

Hi, I’m Makenzie — a trauma-informed therapist who supports adults and adolescents navigating eating disorders, childhood trauma, anxiety, and the stress that comes with trying to keep it all together. My role is to offer you a space where you don’t have to pretend you’re fine, where you can slow down, exhale, and feel genuinely understood. I specialize in eating disorder therapy, EMDR, trauma recovery, and Somatic Experiencing. Whether you’re dealing with food and body struggles, feeling overwhelmed by past experiences, or noticing patterns you can’t quite shake, our work will focus on helping you feel safer and more connected to yourself. My approach blends evidence-based care with a grounded, compassionate presence. We’ll explore both the emotional and physical responses that show up in your body, not just your thoughts, so you can build real skills for healing and resilience. Therapy with me is conversational, collaborative, and human. You don’t have to have the “right” words or a fully formed story. You don’t have to minimize what you’re going through or compare it to what others face. Your experiences matter, your emotions matter, and your healing matters — even if you’re not sure where to begin. I’m here to listen without judgment, to help you make sense of what feels confusing or heavy, and to support you in finding steadier ground. Together, we can work through big feelings, identity shifts, academic stress, relationship struggles, and the ways trauma or eating disorders may be impacting your daily life. If you’re looking for a warm, steady place to talk through what’s going on, process your experiences, and learn tools to support your mind and body, I’m here. You deserve care that feels safe, respectful, and aligned with who you are — not who you think you’re supposed to be. Let’s take things at your pace and build toward a life that feels more grounded, empowered, and genuinely yours.
