I have 33 years of experience in counseling people from ages 15 to 79 who have a variety of issues. Additionally, I've been a school counselor and provided individual and group therapy at a psychiatric hospital. I have extensive knowledge of eating disorders, psychiatric medications, addictions, grief/loss, relationship dynamics, LGBTQ issues and disability adjustment. I am well versed in treating a variety of addictions and anorexia and bulimia. This includes focusing on the depression and anxiety that underlie such obsessive/compulsive behaviors. I am adept at helping people identify the patterns in their life and changing the thinking and behaviors that keep them stagnant in their relationships and personal growth. I am very comfortable working with people of various ages, ethnicities and gender orientations. Having many years of life experience, I can facilitate the emotional growth of people who are in various stages of development and assist family members in understanding one another's perspective based on their individual backgrounds. I am open to feedback.
