I welcome and affirm clients of all identities and backgrounds in my practice.

Change occurs when we not only make meaning of our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, but also discover new ways to interact with the world, building upon our strengths and leaving unhelpful patterns behind. We will work together to identify your values and important relationships as we hold space to process and set attainable goals. It can be hard to find a therapist that “gets” you. Our alliance will be the foundation of our work together to improve your life and relationships. Clients have expressed that they appreciate my open communication, acceptance, and ongoing feedback. I adapt your treatment based upon your individual needs. I use evidence-based therapy, including IPT (Interpersonal Therapy) while integrating skills from diverse therapeutic modalities. I love to explore and learn about other ways of living in the world. I completed my undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Bologna in Northern Italy. These eight years studying abroad in my twenties helped to shape my curiosity to understand diverse cultures and attitudes. I completed my Masters of Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill and my clinical internship at Duke University’s Student counseling center (CAPS). I have also received special training in domestic violence counseling and advocacy, working on the domestic violence crisis line and facilitating support groups for survivors of intimate partner violence. Prior to working in private practice, I supported patients with renal disease at an outpatient clinic at UNC Hospitals. I enjoy working with diverse populations; I have received Racial Equity and inclusion training through the Racial Equity institute (REI) and view equity education as a transformative and lifetime process. I enjoy spending time outdoors on nature walks with my family, floating in the ocean, and playing with my bonded pair of kittens, Griffin and Cleo. I look forward to meeting you!
