Lisa Lavelle is a Licensed Mental Health and Substance Abuse Master Counselor who brings a decade of clinical experience to her practice in New Hyde Park, New York. Specializing in the treatment of PTSD, simple and complex trauma, substance dependence, depression, and anxiety disorders, she offers a compassionate and gentle approach to navigating the recovery process. Lisa is particularly skilled in working with adolescents and their families, a focus she developed through extensive experience in residential programs. Her educational background includes a Master’s in Counseling and Mental Health from the University of Buffalo and a CASAC Master’s Counseling certification from the Outreach Training Institute. As a National Certified Counselor, Lisa utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients develop healthy coping mechanisms.
