Before starting my journey to become a counselor, I taught for the last 8 years in the public school system, working with a diverse population of teens. Just as with my students, I value and respect the autonomy of all of my clients. I believe each person already has within themselves the solutions which they seek. My past students and clients would describe me as patient, compassionate, warm, and humorous. My counseling style is humanistic and person-centered, often with a strengths-based and social justice lens. Above all, providing all of my clients with a safe space to explore, heal, and grow is my top priority.
