Physician Assistant
Accepting new patients for 2024! I am looking forward to walking alongside you on your journey towards whole-person wellness.
I believe everyone has the innate ability to heal themselves and live the life they desire. My goal is to provide a safe, supported space for my patients to share their stories and to discuss medical as well as holistic treatment options. As a psychiatric physician assistant, I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management to patients in person and through telehealth. Prior to becoming a PA, I was a biology teacher for 13 years and a yoga instructor for almost 17 years. I am very passionate about patient empowerment through patient education, and believe medication is one part of a multi-faceted approach towards mental and physical wellness. I am passionate about various therapeutic modalities- including talk-therapy, exercise, nutritional therapy, meditation and mindfulness -and how they work in conjunction with medication to manage symptoms and disease processes. I see how emotional wellness and physical wellness are deeply intertwined within each person, with each affecting the other in positive or negative ways. In addition to the in-network health insurance plans already listed on my profile, we are also in-network with: - Blue Cross Blue Shield My Blue with Duke - Blue Cross UNC Health Alliance We accept out of network (OON) benefits, and we file all insurance claims on patients' behalf.
