Leigh Freilich

I am an EMDRIA-certified, queer-identified therapist with more than a decade of experience. I operate from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, eclectic approach, incorporating Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and other trauma-informed, strengths-based, creative approaches (Internal Family Systems/"Parts work," CBT, and expressive art therapeutic interventions. Areas of clinical interest include the treatment of traumatic stress disorders, culturally-based trauma, and concerns specific to the needs of LGBQIA+ and TGNB+ communities. I provide biopsychosocial assessment and diagnosis for adults seeking WPATH letters of support. I have worked in community mental health, child welfare, refugee resettlement, and advocacy settings, and my clinical work is informed by those experiences.
