Leah Aguirre

Hi, I’m Leah! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and practice in San Diego, CA. I grew up in San Diego and attended UCSB where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and SDSU with a Masters of Social Work. I have been practicing for over 10 years. Mental health is extremely important to me, as I have had my own struggles with anxiety and self-esteem. I believe that every single person has at one point or another experienced challenges with their mental health and that therapy is extremely beneficial and empowering. Through my schooling, personal journey and experience in the field as a provider, I am confident in my ability to support others in their own process towards healing and personal growth. I specialize in supporting clients in working through and processing unhealed trauma, managing anxiety and developing healthier self-esteem and sense of self-worth, as well as navigating dating and leaving unhealthy relationships. I have extensive experience working with and supporting individuals who have experienced chronic and complex trauma. I am trauma informed and a certified EMDR therapist.
