Leah Adrian
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
I am a local experienced Santa Cruz therapist, passionate about providing individuals a safe place to meet and find what they need & want for themselves.
Hello there! I’m Leah, and I’m a local therapist and have been in practice for 13 years. Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be in a profession where I was helping people, and it has been pretty amazing to be in this role as a therapist; getting to know people on a personal level, and support them with what they truly want and need. In my work, I aim to forge a strong alliance first and foremost - I’m going to listen to you and make sure I am 100% clear about what you want from the therapy space. From there (usually after the first 1-3 meetings), I then create a plan encompassing the issues you’re bringing to the table and how we will come together to address them. I like to utilize a lot of different therapy approaches with people: tailoring what things I know, in collaboration with the expertise you have about you. And that’s the thing, I don’t see my role as someone who tells people what to do, or has all the answers; it’s not that simple, because if it was you’d have found answers already. And even if you’re walking into therapy not knowing what the hell you want or what’s going on; we still got this. When meeting with me, we’re a team, and we’re coming together for you.
