His experiences in mental health began long before any of his studies. Lazaro saw firsthand how mental illness (Major Depressive Disorder) affected his mother, who sadly passed away in 2019. "I saw how mental illness consumed her, how it impacted our family, and how if left untreated can destroy and leave psychological scars". Lazaro seeks to treat each one of his clients with the same empathy and understanding that he would his mother.
