Lauren is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron, and her Bachelor’s Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Lauren has experience working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and of all ages. She has provided treatment to individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and other mental health issues that impact daily living. Lauren is client-centered and utilizes evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. She finds that one of the most important aspects of counseling is being able to build a healthy working relationship with her clients. She works hard to create a safe, welcoming environment for her clients to feel heard and understood.
