Lauren Cohen
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
I believe healing comes from building a trusting relationship between mind and body, and creating space for your authentic self to emerge.
My approach to therapy is warm, kind and playful. I have a deeply non-judgmental attitude, providing a space where you can feel safe and supported as we navigate the complexities of your inner world. I also embrace the deeper, darker aspects of self, recognizing that these parts of your experience can hold wisdom and strength - the shadow is always welcome in our work. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where you are the expert of your own life. My role is to empower you to make meaningful changes by listening to your mind, body, and intuition. Psychodynamic theory, Attachment theory, and Mindfulness are foundational to my work, and I am also a Level 1 trained therapist in Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS allows us to explore the different “parts” of your identity, by uncovering truths and developing your own inner healer. I believe healing comes from building a trusting relationship between mind and body, and creating space for your authentic self to emerge. Meditation and breathwork are often utilized to connect you with your mind’s eye and core self.
