Laura Morrison

As a clinical social worker and therapist, I provide support to adult clients around a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, identity concerns, grief, trauma, and relationship concerns (including intimate partner violence). My approach to therapy borrows from cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, attachment theory, feminist theory, and interpersonal therapeutic approaches. I lean heavily on interventions and techniques from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Underpinning all of my therapeutic work is a strong focus on building a warm, collaborative and trusting relationship with clients; I believe this relationship is the catalyst for change in the therapy process. Most importantly, I aim to create a therapeutic space that is identity-affirming, safe, and inclusive for clients of all identities and backgrounds.
