Laura Jopp
(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor, Psychotherapist
I take a collaborate approach to therapy grounded in your personal values, your intersectional identities, and your strengths.
When life gets hard, practicing self-compassion often takes a back seat to your problems. You may be finding that feelings of hopelessness and negative self-talk have become barriers to your healing. Through therapy, we can work together to ignite your self-compassion by re-working your patterns of thinking, exploring your past experiences, and connecting yourself deeply with your emotions. I specialize in working with emerging adults and others navigating major life changes or questions related to their identity. In young adulthood, you may be prompted to explore your identity and think about the person you want to become. I will work with you to set your own goals, clarify your values, and work through any roadblocks you encounter on the way. When we work together, your intersectional identities, life experiences, culture, and other environmental factors will not be overlooked. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming, Health At Every Size (HAES), and social justice oriented therapist. I look forward to walking this path with you, and collaborating with you to start your healing journey.
