Larry Dagenhart

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in North Carolina, Larry Dagenhart is committed to helping individuals, spouses, partners, and families reduce stress and find deeper meaning in their lives. His professional journey includes a twenty-year background in communications and public relations across higher education, for-profit, and non-profit sectors before transitioning into the counseling field. Larry’s practice is centered on guiding clients toward their best selves and improved well-being by navigating the complicated and ever-changing nature of life’s challenges. Larry serves a broad range of populations, including teens aged 15 to 17, young adults, adults, and seniors. His clinical approach incorporates therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Couples and Marital Counseling, Family Therapy, and Faith-Based Treatment. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Davidson College and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. An intellectually curious lifelong learner, Larry brings a unique perspective to the therapeutic environment, helping clients manage anxiety and unexpected life hurdles. Outside of his clinical work in Charlotte, he is a dedicated musician who plays the guitar and enjoys gardening, reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. Larry is also an avid supporter of the Davidson Wildcats and Carolina Panthers.
