My practice primarily aims to support LGBTQ adolescents and young adults though a range of modalities and collaborative engagement.

I am a licensed clinical social worker associate, providing mental health counseling to children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families, in Durham, North Carolina. After graduating from Smith College in Northampton Massachusetts I taught in various settings including independent schools with a focus on Quaker education as well as summer programs and curriculum design in non profit settings for 5 years. During my time as a teacher, advisor, and coach I became acutely aware of the heavy loads my students carried. In an effort to more deliberately equip myself to help children and families navigate anxiety, depression, learning differences, eating disorders, family trauma, identity exploration and many other challenges and transitions, I completed my MSW at UNC-CH concentrating in direct practice with children and adolescents. I completed my internships at Student U in Durham, NC and the Art Therapy Institute in Carrboro, NC. See more information at https://www.corriebauerfitzsimons.com/sliding-scale-associate/
