Kuoyi Chung

I conduct psychological assessments to children and adults, and provide treatments to adolescents, adults, and families on issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, loss and grief, trauma and abuse, life span transitions, relational problems, acculturation, as well as other psychological, spiritual, and existential issues. My style is empathic and I emphasize collaborative relationships with clients. I hope to help my clients build on their strengths to cope with life challenges. I have worked with people from a broad array of backgrounds. And I have practiced in different settings, such as private practice, community outpatient clinics, residential group homes, nursing facilities, public schools, and university counseling center. I also teach counseling classes, including social and cultural diversity, psychological assessment, and practicum/internship. My practice is set in a cozy and relaxing environment to encourage comfort and safety.
