(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor, Pre-Licensed Professional, Psychotherapist
Hi, Im Dr.Gia - I offer a warm, supportive, & non-judgmental space to explore what’s holding you back & take steps toward lasting, meaningful change.
I’m originally from South Florida and proudly embrace my Colombian & Puerto Rican heritage. My journey in mental health began over a decade ago, working with community organizations and advocating for human equality. These experiences deepened my desire to better understand the human condition and support others in their healing. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a focus on the mind-body connection, particularly the brain-gut relationship. My training spans a wide range of settings, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Health System. There, I worked across inpatient medical units (Ryder Trauma Center, Christine Lynn Rehab), psychiatric units (Jackson Behavioral Health), crisis stabilization programs, community mental health centers, and outpatient clinics. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, you’re not alone. In therapy, I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s holding you back and take steps toward lasting, meaningful change that aligns with your values and your true self. Let’s take the next step together.
