Kristina Paape
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I provide flexible, person-centered therapy that helps individuals realize their ability to change and feel empowered to overcome their challenges.
If you are coping with depression, anxiety, addiction/substance abuse, ADHD, or trauma I am here to help. Therapy should be effective, uplifting, and person centered. My counseling approach combines traditional therapy techniques with a practical, problem-solving approach that assists you in seeking the inner strength needed to reach your goals. In addition to traditional therapy I am trained in Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). TIR can help individuals with post traumatic stress reduce the physical and psychological impact of trauma in just a few sessions. My other specialties include substance abuse, older adults/caregivers, coping with health/disability concerns, LGBTQIA, college age and young adults. I work with individuals and couples. Limited insurances are accepted but if "out of your network" I can help you use your out of network benefits. A sliding fee scale is available for self-paying clients with a financial need. Hours are by appointment. Virtual and in person available.

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR)
Traumatic Incident Reduction Association
Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) involves re-experiencing past traumas in a completely safe environment, free of distractions, judgments, or interpretations. It is evidenced based and effective in as little as one session. TIR reduced the intrusive thoughts of past traumatic incidents; these incidents lose their power over you.
