Kimberly Lavender
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I believe in supporting and guiding clients to find their own answers, using a holistic approach that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit.
I enjoy working with clients of different ages, backgrounds, genders, and orientations. I have experience working with and within the judicial, legislative, educational, and medical systems. My approach is strength-based and integrated, which uses an individual's own strengths to guide their individual treatment. No two people are alike, we all have our own stories, and I'm here to listen to and support you and your journey without judgment. Through personal growth and development, we can learn to change our destiny and replenish our positive energy. It is finding our own inner strengths; the power to find our own answers and to rid ourselves of negative self-talk so that we can be at peace with the decisions we make, without unwelcome influence and/or advice. I have expanded training and certifications in working with those that have experienced, or are experiencing, abuse (including narcissistic & religious abuse); working within BIPOC communities; working with frontliners & MDOC; sex & intimacy challenges. religious trauma, & differing spiritual beliefs. Certifications include Trauma-focused CBT, FPE, MI, and others.
