Kelly Rusher Sanderford
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Pre-Licensed Professional
I am passionate about helping students who are anxious, disconnected, and overwhelmed discover their true selves and live balanced, values- driven lives.
The counseling process is unique to each individual and commands a trusting, authentic partnership. From a strength-based perspective, I strive to foster growth in each client and support their journey towards self-determination. I believe that growth is always possible and want to help each client become the person they want to be. This happens through a safe, non-judgemental environment where we connect and identify what is getting in the way. Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits all counseling, I utilize a variety of techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe in a supportive and collaborative approach that includes identifying patterns, practicing strategies for change and processing client responses. Change is hard, and I hope to give each client the space and support needed to tackle whatever is keeping them from their goals.
