(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Kelly works with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, blocked creativity, life transitions including divorce, fertility, spirituality and loss.
I view the therapeutic relationship as a creative collaboration in which the client is the expert in their own life. My goal is for my clients to feel seen and valued in the process of becoming more fully self-expressed. I use a variety of tools to support our innate capacity for healing including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an evidence-based therapy used to treat various forms of trauma and stuck memories. I also use creativity, movement, humor, and mindfulness to support these processes. I grew up in Wisconsin and finished my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Minnesota. I then moved to Seattle to pursue my graduate degree in School Psychology at the University of Washington. I spent many years doing assessments at Seattle Children’s Autism Center while also building a personal styling business on the side. This helped me understand that creativity can be profoundly transformational. Outside of work, you can find me attempting yoga handstands, baking peanut butter brownies, exploring local thrift stores, and eating the spicy won tons at Din Tai Fung.
