Keenan Smart
(He/Him/His)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Hey there! I'm a strong advocate for college mental health and I am eager to continue to support students as they grow, reflect, and explore.
Keenan is a big nerd, but also a pretty great therapist. He holds the belief that everyone has an incredible capacity for growth and self-actualization, using a person-centered approach to attune to where clients are at and meet them there. He believes that there is power in sharing yourself authentically with someone and he works to build therapeutic relationships where clients feel safe to do so. Keenan is especially passionate about the mental health of college students and other young adults. He has found that this is a life stage where some of the most change happens and when having a having a space to process that change is especially important. He also has a love of working with ADHD, grief, anxiety, trauma, and internet addiction. Outside of the office, Keenan leans into the Minnesota stereotype of loving all four seasons and going out to the lake. He also loves board games, video games, his family, and his dog.
