Katy McCarthy, MPS, is a graduate-level, pre-licensed clinician who helps adults and seniors navigate life’s challenges with warmth, compassion, and respect. Whether you’re facing stress, grief, major life changes, or questions about purpose and meaning, she offers a safe space to feel understood and supported. Her approach emphasizes self-awareness, resilience, and the belief that meaningful change can happen at any stage of life. Katy works collaboratively with each client, tailoring therapy to their unique needs and strengths. In her practice at LifeStance Health, Katy draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to help people manage issues such as addiction, anxiety, bereavement, depression, trauma, and life’s bigger questions about meaning, purpose, and connection. She understands the deep impact these experiences can have on emotional health, relationships, and one’s sense of direction in life. Outside of work, Katy enjoys time with her family (both human and furry members), sharing good food and music with friends, and finding joy in everyday connections. Her favorite song, Everyday People by Sly and the Family Stone, reflects her belief that everyone matters—a perspective she carries into her work with clients each day.
