I try to be realistic about priorities, accept what is happening in the moment and live by my values.

With 20 years of clinical experience in mental health settings, higher education, and my own life transitions, I strive to practice what I preach. I am trained to be client centered and utilize an integrative approach. That means that I have training in Family Systems, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, and ACT models. I try to practice mindfulness and yoga and spend time with family and friends. Notice that I said, 'try.' This is important because a balanced life does not mean that I can always give equal amounts of time to all areas of my life. I try to be realistic about priorities, accept what is happening in the moment and live by my values.
