I'm a former CAPS therapist, LGBTQ+ affirming, and provide support for trauma, anxiety, depression, and general life stressors.

I enjoy helping clients move closer to the life they want to live. This includes people with past trauma, clients navigating current stressors or worries, those who feel stuck in patterns they are aware of but can't seem to shift, and those wanting to live more authentically as themselves. Prior to forming my practice, I worked at CAPS for over 3 years and am familiar with UVA supports and systems as well as the stressors that undergraduate and graduate students often face. I use a client-centered, trauma-informed, integrative approach in my work, drawing from several therapies and practices and tailoring my style for each individual’s needs. I most often incorporate Attachment Focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) frameworks. Frequently, current difficulties and symptoms have been shaped by past experiences and relationships. EMDR and IFS help to get to the root of those experiences and provide experiential healing, resulting in positive change in the present moment. Additional information about both practices can be found on my website. My style is collaborative and warm, bringing empathy to the therapeutic work and relationship. I believe therapy should be a place where you can bring your whole self. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, WPATH certified, and I strive to bring a feminist, social justice, and antiracist lens to my work.
