With a clinical focus on anxiety, trauma, depression, and women’s issues, Kathryn Lachance has been a licensed mental health counselor in Maine and New Hampshire since 2014. She supports clients between the ages of 18 and 50, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Her therapeutic style is interpersonal, existential, and supportive, incorporating positive and strengths-based psychology while honoring the deep connection between mind, body, and soul. Before transitioning into the mental health field, Kathryn spent 20 years working as an occupational therapist after graduating from Quinnipiac University in 1992. Her professional evolution was driven by a growing interest in health, wellness, and fitness coaching, which ultimately revealed the fundamental power of mental health in overall well-being. This journey led her to the University of Southern Maine, where she earned her Master’s degree in counseling in 2014. Outside of her clinical work, Kathryn finds balance by swing dancing, trail running, and paddling along the seacoast.
