Katherine Schulz
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I welcome clients to my practice who want a safe space to learn strategies to identify and navigate intense emotions and challenging relationships.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of clinical experience. She recently relocated with her family to North Carolina from the San Francisco Bay area and is excited to develop her practice in the Raleigh area. Over the last 20 years, I have studied and trained to become an expert treating clients using evidence based techniques including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy with Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), DBT for Families and Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD. In 2022 I achieved my certification in DBT from the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification.https://dbt-lbc.org/, one of only 15 certified clinicians in the state of North Carolina. Working with me is a collaboration. I want to fully understand you, what is causing your suffering. This will help us come up with a set of goals for how to reduce suffering and help you feel like yourself again. This may involve learning new skills and strategies and then practicing them during the week. Together, we will help you change your path to a more fulfilling path in your life.
