Katherine (Kate) Lang
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
You are enough. Let's work on helping you believe it, too. Come in-person or virtually to address life's difficulties: anxiety, esteem, body-image, etc.
I view therapy like a road trip: some parts are fun, some are not, but in the end you get to where you need to go. You are the driver and have the control but we are on the journey together. I will be there, in the passenger seat, to help reroute if we get detoured... and try to help us avoid the potholes! It’s your hard work, though, that gets us to the destination. I have found that creating a genuine connection makes all the difference in where we can go together in treatment, so let’s get this trip started! In my work, I use an empowerment lens to look at all of my clients to see their strengths and, more importantly, to help them see their own strengths. I also employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based practice that studies have shown supports the treatment of a wide variety of diagnoses and populations. I have been trained in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy, which encourages looking at environments and surroundings to determine areas for improvement, support, or strengths. It is also very important to me to adapt my style to the needs of my clients to promote positive outcomes.
