Katherina Terhune is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds a Ph.D. in gerontology and brings more than 17 years of therapeutic experience to her practice. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, she primarily supports adults navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and bipolar disorder. Her clinical expertise also extends to helping individuals manage relational problems, grief, and specific concerns related to aging and dementia caregiving. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she works to enhance the emotional well-being of those she serves. In addition to her clinical work, Katherina is an Associate Professor and the MSW Program Director in the School of Social Work at Northern Kentucky University. Her professional dedication to the field is further demonstrated through her various leadership and advisory roles. She is an appointed member of the Ethics Committee for the National Association of Social Workers (Kentucky Chapter) and contributes to the Academic Program Development Workgroup for the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education. Katherina also serves on the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Society for Clinical Social Work and previously held the position of President of the Board of Directors for the National Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation.
