Kamilah Sharpe
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I welcome and affirm clients of all identities and background in my practice!
Are you feeling set-off by everything, easily triggered, and frustrated with everyone? Maybe it’s the opposite - you feel lonely, sad, and no one loves you. You’re tired of fighting, and you’re exhausted by all the critical comments. You want to feel supported, cared for, and accepted by your friends and family. You need others to understand “It’s not the same” and “I am not you!” You need someone to HEAR you! I believe it is my role as your therapist to provide an inclusive, non-judgmental and safe environment for you to feel HEARD. As a therapist, I believe therapy is a place to be creative and grow your voice and strengthen your identity. I approach therapy with an interactive lens. I believe it is important to express your feelings and thoughts through art. I believe every client is courageous, they MATTER, and they have the right to their own truth. Emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated. Reaching out for help and guidance can provide you with the support you need to live a healthy, meaningful, and productive life.
