Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I welcome and affirm all backgrounds and identities. I look forward to working with you.
Hello! I graduated from University of SC in 2007 with a Masters of Social Work and currently am an LCSW and hold a 200 hr yoga teacher training certificate. I began in the field working at a mental health hospital in the forensics department in GA and then moved to NC where I mostly was working as a substance use disorder therapist with the state and then with the Veterans Affairs outpatient program in Raleigh. When the COVID pandemic started, I offered telehealth therapy and in person sessions through a group private practice in Cary. Now, I have my own private practice to continue offering therapeutic interventions to support our mental health wellness in the community. I help with trauma, substance related addiction, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and psychosis. I mostly work with adults and late teens. Modalities that I mostly incorporate within my therapy sessions are CBT, mindfulness/mindful movement, Substance Use treatment, MI, and ACT. I look forward to working with you. The end goal is important, but the journey to that goal is just as important. You're not alone, I'm right there with you, helping you through the healing process.
