30 years in practice

30 years experience specializing in relationship counseling, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation. Solution-focused therapy to make life better!

Are you struggling with emotional regulation? Can't shake depression, anxiety, anger? Having problems with conflict, life transitions, feeling burned-out or feeling stuck? I work with individuals, couples, and families to navigate challenges such as high-conflict relationships, divorce and co-parenting, trauma recovery, managing emotions and anger. With over 30 years of experience, I combine a direct, compassionate style with solution-focused and trauma-informed care. My goal is to provide guidance, support, and practical strategies in a nonjudgmental way so you can move toward healing, clarity, and stronger relationships. I have been married for 35 years, I have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. I have personal experience in multi-cultural families, foster care, adoption. I work with all types of individuals, couples and families including traditional, blended, adopted, co-parenting, and other non-traditional family types. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals and families with a wide range of presenting problems. If I had to declare a niche, I would describe that as working with adult men of all ages helping them improve relationships, manage emotions, improve communication, improve overall life satisfaction, and deal with life transitions. Most common issues addressed include emotional regulation, conflict and communication problems, problematic sexual behaviors and interests, loss of purpose and motivation, and relationship problems. I like to focus on solutions and do not enjoy spending too much time just talking about the problems.
