Caring for people who are searching for self love, (including LGBTQ folks). "If we know ourselves, we are always home anywhere." - The Wiz

I am Julius Jessup Peterson, a psychotherapist and coach dedicated to helping you reclaim your voice and your power in a world that often asks you to trade your freedom for belonging. My work is deeply rooted in the belief that we are all multifaceted beings, and my mission is to guide you through the process of "unbecoming" the parts of yourself that were shaped by toxic systems and inherited trauma. As a clinician of color, I understand that for many of us, healing isn't just about managing symptoms; it’s about a radical decolonization of the mind and body. I provide a safe, inclusive sanctuary for Black-bodied individuals, LGBTQ+ folks, and those of us navigating the complexities of systemic oppression, helping you to stop looking for a home in other people and instead create a secure, sovereign place inside yourself. In our sessions, I move away from the rigid, clinical formulas of traditional therapy and instead walk with you as a witness to the answers that already exist in your own heart and history. My approach is holistic and anti-oppressive, drawing on modalities like Internal Family Systems and Somatic Therapy to address how harm lives in our bodies and shapes our relationships across generations. What makes my practice truly unique is this commitment to a decolonizing framework that honors your specific cultural experience without judgment or shame. I am here to support you in choosing yourself, strengthening your mind-body connection, and standing in your truth. If you are ready to rediscover the fullness of who you are and move toward a life of genuine liberation and self-love, I invite you to explore a path of healing that respects where you came from while empowering where you are going.
