Julie West

Julie West, NP, PMHNP, is a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner who provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and seniors throughout Massachusetts. She helps patients navigate complex mental health challenges through individualized psychiatric evaluations, accurate diagnoses, and tailored treatment plans. By focusing on the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to mental health disorders, Julie strives to empower her patients on their path to healing. She is particularly passionate about supporting patients with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, with a strong clinical focus on addressing reproductive challenges, post-partum depression and anxiety, and midlife or later-life transitions. With a deep understanding of the unique needs these experiences present, Julie takes a holistic, collaborative approach to treatment, ensuring her patients feel supported every step of the way. She integrates psychotherapy and medication management to promote long-lasting positive change. In addition to her specialized focus on women’s issues and reproductive mental health, Julie is experienced in treating substance use disorders, psychosis, and trauma-related conditions. She is committed to helping military veterans, first responders, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community overcome mental health challenges and achieve greater emotional well-being. Julie's approach prioritizes the development of trusting, therapeutic relationships, allowing patients to openly share their concerns and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. Outside of her clinical work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, embracing the outdoors, or occasionally enjoying a cozy day indoors.
