Julie Marshall, LCSW graduated from NC State University with a Bachelors in Social Work & received her Masters in Social Work from Boston University. She has spent her career working in Addiction Treatment Centers, Community Mental Health, & in the last 8 years providing individual therapy to adults. She is passionate about working with individuals & families struggling with addictions & helping them to find recovery in a way that is meaningful for them. She is an active participant in the therapy process & always draws from client strengths. Julie uses a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy & acceptance & commitment therapy. She strives to provide an atmosphere that is accepting, non-judgmental and empowering. She has extensive experience working with addictions/recovery, anxiety, navigating divorce & co-parenting, grief and loss and is trained in EMDR. Julie is passionate about helping her clients find & connect with their authentic self while pushing them to meet their stated goals. She sees therapy as a courageous step to becoming the person you want to be and always feels honored to get to be a part of that journey.
