(She/Her/Hers)
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I am autism and ADHD certified and provide gender affirming care. I am truly passionate about providing the best services to the people we work with.
I have been working in the mental health field for 23 years, starting with my bachelors degree in psychology. I completed my graduate program first with as a family nurse practitioner, then my psychiatric nurse practitioner certification. Halfway through my second masters degree, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Stunned by how getting treatment changed my world, I knew what I had to focus on...ADHD. That lead me to Autism, as sometimes they go hand in hand, and I completed certifications in both areas. What does this mean for you? I am determined to get you the proper intervention for whatever you are concerned with, be it anxiety, depression, autism symptoms, and ADHD. As mental health professionals, we get minimal education on what autism looks like in adults. Part of the reason for that is we are just now learning how it presents as people get older. As it turns out, only 20% of females are diagnosed before age 18. And for males, unless there are overt symptoms, they will go undiagnosed too! So now I train other professionals to identify adult autism. I can't wait to work with you, I promise you'll feel comfortable right away.
