Joy Jones

Joy Jones, LCSW, helps individuals and families across Missouri and Kansas navigate life’s challenges with compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She works with adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors, offering support that is grounded in both clinical expertise and genuine human connection. Whether someone is dealing with anxiety, processing trauma, or going through a major life transition, Joy partners with her clients to foster personal growth, healing, and resilience. She provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy in a supportive and inclusive environment. Joy has a strong passion for working with clients facing alcohol and drug use issues, including those in recovery or actively seeking sobriety. She recognizes the complexities of addiction and the importance of individualized care in treating substance use. Joy also supports clients managing PTSD and trauma-related symptoms, using interventions like EMDR, CBT, and DBT to help individuals process difficult experiences and reclaim their lives. She is also highly attuned to the emotional toll of midlife and later life transitions, offering compassionate guidance to clients navigating identity shifts, health changes, or losses that come with aging. Joy is experienced in working with a variety of populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, those with developmental disabilities, and people with a history in the adoption or foster care system. She brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective to all her sessions, ensuring that every person feels seen, heard, and respected. Outside of her work at LifeStance Health, Joy enjoys staying active through exercise and exploring new places through travel. She brings warmth, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose to every client interaction.
