We provide high quality office based and teletherapy based mental health services to the larger Metro Detroit Region.

Hello! My name is Josh Curie and I am excited to meet you! I have been practicing in the mental health sector since 2008 and specifically in Michigan since 2012. My background is multifold--having worked with homeless young adults in shelters, done intensive community outreach and case management in Community Mental Health in Detroit, provided clinic-based therapy at Michigan's First LGBTQ-focused home Corktown Health and in Private Practice since 2019. I have also been certified as an advanced alcohol and drug counselor since 2018. I primarily work with individuals, couples and polycules who are LGBTQ, have substance use challenges, are exploring nonmonogamy or kinks, who are having relational difficulties or communication challenges, etc. I primarily use CBT and behavior modification techniques to reframe unhelpful automatic thoughts or behaviors. Additionally, I am a big component of exercise as a wellness tool, having been a spin instructor since 2018, as well as an avid runner. While the rest of our team has their own specific niche areas, we are united on 3 fronts: a commitment to serving LGBTQ and BIPOC populations, a commitment to economic justice (accepting a number of health insurance plans, including many Medicaid and Medicare plans) and keeping therapist caseloads reasonable to avoid clinician burnout. Please read the bios of our clinicians on our website, but collectively we are able to see children, adolescents, adults, families and couples! We are well-suited for treating a number of focus areas outside of what I already listed above including: Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Mood Disorders, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Adoption/Foster Care placements, Infidelity, Women specific issues, and Relational dynamics. We have online booking available and are looking forward to meeting with you!
