I am a licensed clinical psychologist, practicing in midtown Manhattan. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and depression, utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This treatment approach is symptom focused, goal oriented, and based on techniques that have been proven to be both effective and time-limited. I work collaboratively with my clients, helping them achieve their personal goals in therapy. Our work is usually focused on current issues and difficulties that one might be experiencing. Therapeutic objectives typically include symptom reduction, stress management, and improving specific behaviors. The following is a list of areas in which I specialize: depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, interpersonal difficulties, weight management, perfectionism, and low self-esteem. I believe that everyone has the capacity to improve their lives in significant ways and that therapy is an effective vehicle for implementing such change.
