(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor, Psychologist, Psychotherapist
As a part of the LGBTQ+ community I openly welcome and strongly affirm clients of all identities and backgrounds in my practice.
I am originally from Miami, Florida. I obtained my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from NOVA Southeastern University, where I specialized in long-term mental illness, and got my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida State University, where I majored in Psychology. I have had the privilege of treating clientele from diverse backgrounds in both English and Spanish, and have experience working in a variety of settings such as inpatient programs, crisis units, community mental health centers, and outpatient clinics. While my theoretical orientation is eclectic, I lean toward Cognitive-Behavior Therapy and Rogerian (or Person-Centered) approaches. I help clients identify their problematic thinking patterns, develop coping mechanisms, process their trauma, and understand how past experiences affect their current level of functioning. I value the transformative nature of strong therapeutic relationships, and am proficient in providing therapy for individuals, groups, couples, and families. My goal is to apply my compassion and expertise to the therapeutic process, while helping my clients improve their lives, ultimately attaining a sense of peace and fulfillment.
