My specialty is helping individuals who experience discomfort, anxiety, and self-consciousness in social situations feel more relaxed and confident.

While each therapy experience is unique, I believe that establishing a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard and understood is an important starting point for any therapy experience. We will work together to identify underlying factors that contribute to your current problems or lead you to feel stuck. We will then work to address these factors and choose alternatives so you feel more in control of your life and experiences. Additionally, we will incorporate ways of getting more immediate relief from your current symptoms/problems, such as coping skills for stress and anxiety management. I frequently work with individuals who have challenges related to perfectionism, shame/guilt, depression, self-doubt, and self-esteem develop greater self-compassion and self-acceptance. I would also be a good fit for clients looking to go deeper in their therapy work including therapists and therapists-in-training. The sociocultural context of your life and diverse aspects of your identity are also considered as they can be important to understanding you and your experiences as well as help guide us in creating goals and working toward change.
