Life can be overwhelming. Difficult relationships, new situations, unexpected loss or confusion about who we are or what we want can make us feel "stuck." The good news is that sharing our stories and learning new tools to heal and grow can help us get "unstuck" and moving forward in our lives. At Compassionate Life Counseling, we provide compassionate therapy for kids, teens and adults. Our approach looks at how past experiences affect current realities, empowers clients to know and love themselves fully, and seeks to strengthen the important relationships in their lives. We offer traditional psychotherapy and specialize in EMDR therapy. EMDR therapy is used to efficiently and effectively process traumatic life experiences, big and small. About Me -- I am a psychotherapist/EMDR therapist with a heart for helping others. After a career in communications, time at home with my kids, and nearly a decade of military service, I went back to school to pursue my passion for empowering people to love themselves and the people in their lives well. Therapy is as much a ministry as a profession for me. I naturally care for others and am passionate about helping people find peace in their lives. Having seen the power of therapy in my own life, I know what it's like on the other side. This gives me a deep respect for meeting clients where they are and providing a safe space for them to progress at their own pace. I hope to connect with you soon!
